DOG STORIES IN THREADS

Hi there (most likely a dog lover)!

Here’s Monika with a strange German-sounding surname, but with Polish roots. A never-ending stream of thoughts is my speciality.

Two passions have always been part of my life: art and dogs. Not a bad combination, if you ask me.

‘Get Up Tail Up’ brings these two worlds together. I spend my days listening to dogs – their joy, their anxiety, their tiny worlds. Then I turn those moments into embroidered clothing.

On one hand, I am a visual artist working mainly with photography, embroidery, and installation. On the other hand, I am a pet sitter, dog trainer, and dog behaviourist.

I have a soft spot for anxious dogs, so I do my best to keep their tails up instead of tucked between their legs.

For humans, I make sure they can keep their chins up while wearing a cap designed for dog lovers!

So here I am – this is where all the threads meet.
